WTF?

Ok, not only is this unseasonal, it's also just plain wrong. As if we need ads for Christmas ornaments in July to begin with, but Santa brought the Baby Jesus to the world?? Somebody needs a smack for this.

Dude, that is so not what the image is. It's actually fairly common for the saints to appear in effigy with the infant Jesus. Saint Francis is a very popular one, since he is attributed to having started the practice of reenacting the nativity (ie: the classic Christmas pagent).

Oh you're right. I forgot that Christmas was all about mixing idolatry and paganism with commercialism.

Santa Claus is Saint Nicholas. The commercialism is in the outfit he's wearing, which is a product of Coca-cola marketing.

I can quote links until I'm blue in the face. Or I can just summarize here. Santa Claus is based on the Norse god (lowercase) Odin. Nativity scenes are idolatrous. Santa's commercial. And probably idolatrous too, if you think about it.
